I have a copy of Darksiders 1 to give away. I have a feeling it will be hard to, since it was on sale for like, $1 not too long ago.

Edit: Steam code LZB5B-99ABN-0R2M9 gogogogogo
It took another day but I snagged this, thanks Thoth!

So, after saying how Steam sales are starting to bore me because it's just the same games on sale over and over again...I've gone on to buy 7 games so far in this sale. I bet at least 3 of them never get launched, BUT THEY'RE SO CHEAP I HAVE TO BUY THEM.

I haven't bought anything from Steam yet. Got the Desert to Sea bundle from Amazon, and will probably get Hotline Miami for $2.49 with the credit from that. Had the GamersGate Bethesda bundle bought and yoinked away—which made me a bit sour on GamersGate, unfortunately Bethesda (though I'm not so high on their games to start), and digital purchases in general.

I put together a new computer this summer, and consequently got a few things in other sales since then—Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Augmented Edition, The Walking Dead, Mark of the Ninja; redeemed an old self-gift copy of Just Cause 2; was given Torchlight II and Dota 2. And I've been buying almost every Humble Bundle that pops up. Between all that, I just don't want much else. I don't care to give EA any money, and Ubisoft's attitude towards PC turns me off too. Rockstar's DRM sucks, and so does Arkham City's. And pretty much anything over $5-10, I'd rather get on a console, so I can sell it if I want.

Big Picture mode is great. I'd already been hooking my laptop up to my TV via HDMI.. but to have an interface that you can controller with an actual gaming controller is great. I've actually been debating getting a souped-up mini-tower for my living room just for movies and PC games on the TV.

So, after playing Guardians of Middle Earth, I want to try out DOTA2. Is it still in invite only stage or can I pick it up from Steam?

I think it's still invite-only. Pretty sure I have a handful of invites left in my inventory from their last burst, so I'll send you one when I get home...if you're on my friends list, which you might be? I don't remember.

If you didn't get an invite from him yet, hit me up. I can't give my invites away for the life of me.

I'll try to add you guys tonight or tomorrow. I don't know if it'll let me add people since I haven't purchased anything off of steam, and as such, can't create a friend's list or some shit like that.

Yeah, it's funny the trouble I had to go through to get an invite a couple months ago. I don't know what to do with mine now.

Amazon.com has a 5-pack of XBLA PC ports for $9.99 ($5 off if you still have a credit from buying a digital game in December); all redeem with Steam. They can all be purchased individually for 75% off as well:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B1ULJI0?tag=childsplaycha-20
  • Deadlight
  • Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
  • Iron Brigade
  • Mark of the Ninja
  • Toy Soldiers

Some other deals here:

Bought this pack. Only had a chance to try a couple of the games, but holy crap is Iron Brigade fun. Mark of the Ninja is too, but the controls are a bit difficult. Iron Brigade though,I think I'm going to be playing that until I get carpal tunnel.

That 2k Civ pack is well worth it too. Picked it up over the holidays and it's worth it for Civ5 alone

With all of them originally being XBLA titles, I suspect many will probably play better with a controller. Mark of the Ninja was really solid with a controller; I haven't tried with a keyboard & mouse.

I'm tempted to get it because it's a good deal. But 3 of the titles use Games for Windows Live, which has just been grief for me. The two that don't: Mark of the Ninja—already have it—and Deadlight—seems sort of interesting, but I feel like I could finally play Shadow Complex to get my fix of that sort of game.

I just joined Steam because I've always wanted to play Star Wars: KOTOR and I heard it was mac compatible. Not much of a computer gamer, so I'm getting used to the mouse. Definitely dated, but it's fun. Can't complain too much over a $10 game. I can see myself using Steam more frequently now.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/233740/ Organ Trail: Director's Cut - Organ Trail is a retro zombie survival game. Travel westward in a station wagon with 4 of your friends, scavenging for supplies and fending off the undead. Members of your party might die of dysentery or you might have to put them down yourself when they get bit.

Anybody interested in bit.trip runner 2? 2 coupons for 25% off appeared in my inventory, probably for owning 2 other bit.trip games.

I was just browsing the new games on Steam and found..this thing

http://store.steampowered.com/app/230650/

It appears to be an open world sims style game, but you also play soccer in it.

I don't know a goddamned thing about soccer but if it gets under $10 I'm all over it.
