Woo, just won my first career LHW title, 2nd round KO of Rashad Evans. 17-4 career record at this point, I just hope I never have to defend it against Shogun, since 2 of my losses were to him, and they were just fucking brutal.

I just made my first venture online. A Frank Mir and 5 Brock Lesnars later, methinks there's a bias among online heavyweight users. My 5 Arlovskis and a Minotauro never stood a chance, with Arlovski getting KO'd every time and Minotauro dropping an absurdly boring 30-26/30-27/30-27 decision because by this point I was pretty sick of being punched in the face and thus refused to go near Brock. Perhaps next I'll move down to middleweight, no doubt to fight several Anderson Silvas.
If you wanna pad your record before I figure this game out, I'm HP Lovethrash on Xbox. Just shoot me a message or whatever.

Woo! Just got my first tapout win over the computer. Kneebar, 4:21 into the first round, to retain my LHW title over Machida. I did all spin, didn't mash the BUTTons for a power submission.
Edit: That didn't get submission of the night, but....nothing else did either. What the fuck, game?

There's no way to get above Level 3 on techniques, is there? I leveled up to 150/150 on Level 3 Kickboxing and it won't let me take any more kickboxing camps. I'm at 100/150 on Level 3 jiu-jitsu; need to get that up. I'm an 87 overall 2 months into my final year. 33-0.

Just ended my LHW career. 30-4 record, ended my career on a 20 fight win streak, and had a 3 1/2 year run with the LHW title. I never got a chance to avenge my losses to Shogun though. Still made the HOF, and got the trophy collector achievement.

I wish this game let you save replays because I knocked out GSP with a perfect uppercut in an online match earlier. That thing was flush under the chin and knocked him right on his ass.
And I've finally learned to be patient while on the ground and wait for my opportunities instead of madly rocking the stick all over the place..

God, am I sick of GSP. Maybe I'm just too stubborn to pick a guy that can match up with him, because I'm so tired of *selects best fighter in weight class* online guys. I'm 2-9, though, having TKOed BJ Penn who had a bold "what doesn't kill me only makes me stronger" strategy that enabled me to repeatedly kick him in the head, and gone to a 30-27 UD with a refreshing choice of Diego Sanchez. Both were as Kampmann.

No kidding. Some of the knockouts that happen every now and then are picture perfect. I'd had one or two counter head-kicks that looked beautiful.

Just had my first draw, against a guy who insisted on letting us get distance on each other, then charging in and throwing a punch, or knocking me down and then diving on me like Matt Serra isn't going to rubber guard him until he wants to kill himself. He had a solid ground game, and boxing's not my thing so when he figured out my counter the standing was pretty even. It was a pretty awesome fight. Doubled my fans, too.

I'm gonna have to try some other different finishes. I've read on some boards that you get special commentary if you make it to round 5 of these matches: BJ/Florian, GSP/BJ, Brock/Sylvia, Brock/Nog, Anderson/Maia, Rashad/Jardine, Machida/Anderson, Nog/Cro Cop, Anderson/Bisping, and GSP/Rumble. First guy has to be the defending champion. I'm gonna try them later... won't even be disappointed if it's some lie, but I hope it's not... it would make a cool touch.

Finally finished my middleweight career, going 36-0 (all knockout) with 26 title defenses:

Overall Rating: 93
Kickiboxing and BJJ are both maxed out 150/150 Level 3. Once I got to where it took 25 sparring points to level up any category by 1, by overall development stalled. I ended up as a 93 overall. Not too bad.

Sparring is way too hard on higher difficulties. It's hard enough to get above 72 points from one session even when you're at 100% stamina. You have to score a knockdown at least to even flirt with 100.

Stamina makes a difference. If i's less than 100%, you're likely to get 60. At or around 100%; 72. At 100% and you KO the guy? 100 points.

I usually make sure I'm at 100% before I do anything. What does your usual training schedule look like? I usually do something like Intense (whatever needs work at the time)-Rest-Intense-Rest-Spar-Rest and then wing it, always making sure I'm at 100% before the fight, because it's not like the computer needs more advantages.
