In between Monster Hunter Tri quests, I've started my annual playthrough of Super Metroid again, to be followed by Link to the Past.

I was playing Supreme Commander 2 for the 360 yesterday. I've never played a lot of RTS but I enjoyed it. It does show you how much time you take and it took me like over an hour to clear one of the levels but I was probably doing it wrong because I got "zero stars" on the time.

Finally finished Kingdom Hearts, now on to FF12.

Also been giving Killing Floor the once-over. Other than the predictable "teammates are assholes" and "every so often some zombie is damn near unkillable 1v1" stuff it's pretty good.

The past few days I've been playing Super Mario Bros 2...the Japanese Super Mario Bros 2 that is.

Beat it 8 times to unlock worlds A-D (4 times with Mario (one without warping), 4 times with Luigi (one without warping))

Worlds A-D are kicking my ass though because I can't get over 100 1-ups early on like I can world 1-1 in that game.

I'm rocking The Punisher for PS2 on my PS3. Never played it before now. The graphics are pretty damned good, and the interrogation mini games are a lot of fun. My only complaint is the shooting feels a little off, but aside from that it's a nice little action game.

I also picked up The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. DAMN where has this one been all my life? It's lots of fun trashing EVERYTHING in view. Aside from some bugs with enemy movement this one is a blast.

Picked up a new Sting game called Hexyz Force for the PSP. Its a pretty good RPG and I've been having some fun with it. And its finally a game in which you have two different stories you can choose that cross pathes, but you don't end up having both of them.

Each side though only tells one part of the overall story. I'm currently playing Levant's path and its been a lot of fun. I'd really recommend playing that side first, since it gives you the background for the story and also sets up Cecila's path.

For $30 American ($40 Canadian) its definitely worth its money.

I'm playing Dante's Inferno right now. It's like they completely copped God of War but forgot to take what is good about it. The combat is repetitive as hell and it isn't fluid at all, the platform jumping sucks due to a fixed camera that seems to pick the shittiest angle possible and the enemies are generic and don't have that look that make GoW's baddies memorable.

I've been playing a lot of MLB 2K10 for 360. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. My Player mode is still a lot of fun.

I've been playing Army Of Two for the 360. I'm about halfway through the game and hope to finish it by the weekend.

Trying for all achievements in Red Dead Redemption. I only have 11 to go I think and only 3 of them are single player.

Taking a break from RDR to try out Alpha Protocol. Not bad actually, but not great either. Haven't run in to any major bugs or anything, but the graphics are awfully subpar for being this late in the 360's cycle. Between that and bad guys making a nasty habit of running up behind you and interrupting you while you're trying to shoot or exhibiting some of the worst AI I've seen in a while, it's kind of inconsistent. Still though, the plot is addicting and it's fun building your own style of agent. Here's a hint, work on your assault rifle skill and toughness. Those two will take you a long way.

I've been playing this on and off. I like some of the enemy designs, but the levels are pretty bland, and the combat could use some work. I had trouble with a sliding puzzle early in the game due to the shitty camera combined with a dark atmosphere.

I think I may have fought the first ever war for clams on Civ IV.

NO BLOOD FOR CLAMS!
Like.

I really need to bust this game out again, but sadly my DVD drive crapped out after, oh, seven years.

I wonder how much the bundle costs on Steam...

I got the bundle on sale for $10. I had the original, but the expansions are actually worth it.

Just finished Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent.

Glad I pirated it, because it was a good game but way too short for $10. Some of the puzzles weren't really clear about what they wanted you to do (I did one puzzle 6 times before I realized that I needed to have an arrow in EVERY one of the places you could put an arrow, for example)

Ending went from:
"This is kinda cool, doing puzzles to get across this bridge" to "Oh, I see, they're going to end it on a cliffhanger to get me to pay $10 for the next game" to "...what the fuck? seriously they're going to tell me 'All those loose ends? Yup, meant to be that way!'"

X-Men Origins Wolverine for PS3 has been a lot of fun. The trophies are ridiculously easy to get too.

Dissidia.

It's fun, although strange. It's much closer to an action game than a fighting game, simply because my most leveled character is Terra at like level 36. And I just unlocked Meltdown (Merton? HAH!)

A fighting game where you unlock attacks isn't my usual cup of tea. At least there's "hard" arcade mode which has decently leveled characters to use. If I want to show this game to friends, I don't want them all using my Level 1 Golbez...

Hooked up the SNES to catch Donkey Kong Country fever all over again. Too bad the save battery inside DKC 2 is dead, taking my 102% game with it.

Wait, so THAT'S what that "Merton" spell stood for in FF6? I always wondered why it summoned a giant lava flow and not Nerdy McNerdson with his pocket protector.

I've been playing through FFX again recently. Only the second time that I'm going to complete the monster capturing quest. I don't have many to go but I know the 5 remaining Tonberrys in the sunken cave are going to take forever. I got lucky though in that I got the tonberrys from the omega ruins amazingly quickly. I remember the first time I captured everything I had 10 of everything else and probably only 3 of those fuckers and it just took forever to get 10 of him.

I rented it for a week last year. I think I only missed 4 or 5 trophies after 2 playthroughs.
