83 Weeks this week is just Bischoff and Conrad reviewing SummerSlam.

They just want to be the Drive Thru, don’t they?

I’d rather hear Bischoff reminisce about his time producing VH1 (celeb) reality shows with Jason Hervey.

Felt this week like Nash is finally on the Conrad incessant ads train. Maybe it was just the topics were so brief it just felt like the show was half commercials
No real main topic at all this week. Highlight was probably hearing Nash taped a Hidden Treasures show for A&E, but he took the piss out of the fakeness of the show as they went along and thus it appears the episode will not be aired.

The show rented an Air BnB that Nash was supposed to pretend was his actual house. Nash and eventually Foley made fun of how shitty the place was "You'd think with all the money I made wrestling I could do better than this place" .

How doesn't Marty have a podcast yet? Sure most of it would be used as evidence but there's a great chance it becomes the most entertaining of the bunch for a month or so.

Sitting Backstage During the Monday Night Wars with Conrad Thompson

Like Regal's podcast, the highlight will be Blue Chews ad reads.

“Now Conrad, I certainly don’t need the help. Ol’ Marty is giving these hos’ the Rocker Dropper 10 or 11 times a week. I am still having a lot of sex. With women. Beautiful women, ya Hurd?”

Marty flipping out and storming off in violent fashion because people might think he needs Blue Chew is the kinda news we need.

only the dregs of podcast world take the blue chew money.

Marty is at least a step above that and will happily take the Manscape money and tell us about the smoothness of his balls and the time that he and Shawn shaved Raymond Rougeaus ass in a hotel in Dubuque.

Both stories can be true. David could have taken the somas to rest/addiction and also be sick.

Flair said he (Flair) never touched cocaine.

Over an hour in and I'm not catching any blatant fibs.
--
He did say he turned down 250K to be in a James Bond movie, but Crockett told him he had to drop the belt and his spot may not be there when he returned from filming. Definitely some holes that could be poked in that one.
--
He and Piper were working the Jack Venero (Sp?) match that caused a riot. Afterwards they gave Piper a giant tin of cocaine and dropped Roddy and Ric off at a brothel.

Quick Flair update: At about the hour and a half mark they talk about his 35 day stay in rehab. This winds up being unintentionally hilarious as Flair spills the tea on all the other junkies habits that he was stuck living with.
Then it turned out that the doctor treating him at the center was also a patient in his 5th year of recovery, which left Flair aghast.
"I'm in a god dam nuthouse!"
"What does the picture look like? FUCK YOU!"
"Don't talk to the girls, RIc!"

One surprising bit from Heenan's daughter that Alkieper didn't cover was the fact that apparently Ray Stevens lived with the Heenan's for his last ten years of life. Odd Bobby wouldn't have gotten him an office gig at Titan then instead of Stevens working in the AWA from 85-88. IIRC Ray was actually working indy shots pretty much up to at least the early 90s. Those results aren't easy to find on the major result websites.

Having covered the addiction treatment/behavioral health field for 7+ years, I can tell you that staff members (and executives) also being in recovery is extremely common. To be fair to Flair, it surprised me at first too, but yes, it’s definitely a thing.

I'm guessing Stevens wasn't employable. Given the description Heenan gave Stevens sounds like someone who isn't 100% there, like mild dementia.

7/23/96; Yakima, WA
8/10/96 – included the first vignette promoting the debut of ‘The Stalker’ Barry Windham:
Vader defeated Alex Porteau & Lou Andrews in a handicap match following the Vader Bomb
Farooq Asad (w/ Sunny) pinned Adrian Lester with the Dominator
Sid pinned Marty Jannetty (w/ Leif Cassidy) with the powerbomb
The Goon (Bill Irwin) defeated Doug Allen via count-out following the Cross-Check
The Bushwhackers defeated Mike Starr & Timothy Flowers following the Battering Ram

I do remember Cornette talking about how terrible a Yakima show was but I don’t remember the pertinent details, so obviously something happened backstage or leading to the show.

So go and find out and report back to us. Thx

No idea how @BruiserBrody doesnt know who this is, given as much love you have for Cornette, you would know he raved about RJ repeatedly and says he’s too funny for the wrestling business and should be on real tv.

If he's part of the modern AEW talk, it's all white noise.

Party Marty has a pod now! This might be worth it for a few weeks (?)

As one would expect from Marty, the show is a bit of a mess as the "topics" are all over the place.
Marty asks several times "Are we on TV?"
The cohost traveled 30 hours to get to Marty's place, so I'm not sure how future episodes will be done.
"What's your best Vince McMahon story?" - Marty "Koko B Ware asked me if I wanted the best cocaine ever and we went to a trailer and yeah it was the best cocaine ever!!"

Sean Oliver said on the Nash pod last week that Marty was a nightmare to film when they did their "Breaking Kayfabe" shoot. Marty would start a story and then finish it 18 mins later after sidetracking, so Sean edited it all together for the viewer's sake. Then Marty contacted him, told him he was pissed over how it turned out and was messed up and wanted a redo.

Won't lie I thought Marty's podcast would be RF's big break into the podcast exploitation genre.
