Whoa, I might go to that too. It's a fuckin' Thursday, though, which is very disadvantageous to my work schedule but whatever, I'll figure it out.

I'm seeing Aerosmith tomorrow at the Meadowlands. They were my favorite band as a tween, and even after watching the past decade of douchey behavior from Steven Tyler, I still like a lot of their songs, and how many more chances will I get to see them? Plus my mom wouldn't let me see them on the Nine Lives tour and I see this as corrective action for that. If I ever become a parent (God forbid), I won't deny my 12-year-old the basic joy of seeing their favorite band live. Not that live music will even exist in a couple of decades. Cheap Trick is opening, and I just hope they play something off their debut album, preferably "Elo Kiddies," because I'm kind of burned out on their actual hits.

It was and lots of energy. I was fairly drunk when I got in and stayed buzzed throughout the night, but people started a mosh pit. At a Shinedown concert. Fuckin Edmonton.

I could imagine moshing to "Devour" or "Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide" because of their tempo, but that'd be about it. Moshing to "Call Me" might be a little weird.

Summer Slaughter is a week from Friday. Cannibal Corpse, Exhumed, the Faceless, BTBAM, and a bunch of bands I just don't give two fucks about (some shyte, like Veil of Maya and Job For A Cowboy, and some I just haven't heard much of/don't particularly stand out, like the Summoned and Dysentery).

Guided By Voices, one of my all time favorite bands, are coming to the crappiest venue in Lawrence. I don't know if I'll survive this show quite frankly.

He still has his voice, and yes he did play almost all Skid Row songs except for a couple of solo stuff he wrote.

Tell us how it is. Rich Ward's supposed to be downright amazing live and Jericho looks like he's got the frontman chops down solid.

Just bought my Gaslight Anthem tickets for Sep 14. There were playing in Michigan the 17th, but it was a couple hours away. Thankfully this one's only an hour away.

Just came back from the Metallica concert tonight, one of the best concerts I've seen in a long time. Here's a picture of the stage.

Heading home from the Fozzy show now. My buddies band did a great job of hyping up the crowd. I haven't seen him perform in over a year, and he's gotten much better in that time. I'll post some videos in the local band thread. The next 2 bands weren't very good. There was a screamo band that was weak and a pop rock band that was brutal. Only reason they were the main opening band is they have the same management as Fozzy. Then Fozzy came out. Jericho is an amazing front man. He doesn't have a great singing voice, but he's got a great metal voice. He can really control a crowd like no one I've ever seen. Absolutely tore the roof off. Only annoying thing was all the wrestling fans chanting shit like "Yes" "CM Punk" and other various wrestling chants.

Yeah, I just came back from the Fozzy show myself and was completely blown away. Had way more fun than I thought I'd have. Jericho is a great performer (and has massively huge arms in real life) and they put on a great show overall. It got pretty annoying after awhile with people chanting wrestling shit at him but he shrugged it off for the most part. I really hope Jericho is accepted as a legit musician after this tour because he fucking deserves it. I definately wouldn't mind seeing them again.

I saw Fozzy lead guitarist Rich Ward (who is also the guitarist for Stuck Mojo) walking around in front of the venue so I went up and spoke to him for a bit. He was really nice and flattered that I knew so much about his career.

Just got back from Detroit where The Gaslight Anthem just played a motherfucker of a 2 hour show. Such a great time. Seeing "The 59 Sound" with a crowd that was way into them was one of my favorite concert moments ever.

Gonna see Elton John when I'm in Vegas next month for a wedding. (third wedding I've had to travel out of state for this year, enough is enough people!) I've seen him once before but it was just him and his piano, so I'm excited to see him with a full band this time.

Going to go see "Draw The Line" tonight. The "only endorsed Aerosmith tribute show". They better play Kings and Queens

Saw Slash ft Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators last night. The Dammit guy in the Conspirators is pretty awesome. Liked him better as a singer than Myles. Also Slash did this AMAZING blues jam that I recorded. Sadly I forgot to change my video settings so it's in the lowest quality. I'll up it and post it soon.
