A few days ago, I was in bed thinking of the Kinect Forza racing demo, and it reminded me of Anya steering Xander's ice cream truck with wild arm gestures in the episode "Restless" of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. </random, semi-obscure reference>

I find all I play these days is League of Legends. Free-to-play by the makers of DotA. I get about 1-3 matches in every night. I like that it's legit in the spirit of free-to-play, you cannot buy a competitive advantage that you couldn't get for free.

Also, the makers of the game have been known to troll their own forums. In response to someone complaining that a staff member didn't know how to play a particular character, and asked for video proof, he got Rickrolled by that staff member.

Here's a signup link that counts as a referral for me.

Seems the new Fall Dashboard will have a built in DVD drive firmware check everytime it loads, thus banning any flashed consoles (like mine) to hell.

Makes me wonder why they didnt implement that before hand.

Played the beta. Quit as soon as they announced the pay scheme they swore they wouldn't use in publicity articles a few months prior.

Game wasn't really that fun either. They spent so much time on the customization part of it that everybody looks different, but everything plays the same: cars drive like shit, the guy with the best gun wins 90% of the time and you'll do the same four missions against the same random draw of 10 or so people.

Anyone download Destination Arcade? It's a pretty convenient way of sorting through the XBLA library.

Limbo may be the best game I've played in a while. It is short...but it's so fucking good. I can see the 15 dollar price tag being steep for a game of that length...but we've all played 60 dollar titles that offer far less.

I thought it was short, too... but now I found out you can get above 100% completion. There are eggs that don't give you achievements, but give you % completed. Good luck finding them.

My 360 died. 2nd time this is happen to me since the 360 came out. It was out of warrenty but Microsoft is still gonna fix it for me and I get to send it out tomorrow morning. Which is good because I wanted to buy the Halo Reach edition 360 and this will allow me to do that instead of buying a new 360 before it released.

Limbo looks interesting, but the video I watched for it in the "Summer of Arcade 2010" video showcased a giant spider. Too scary for my blood.

It also showed that the Castlevania game is a bit... odd looking.

Killing that spider was just as freaky, believe me.

So here's a question I have:

With the 360 games that you can download directly to your 360 console now for a price, do they function the same as if you had the disc (able to get the achievements and such) or not?

Also, for the XBox original games, did they add achievements to those or no?

Xbox 1 games are just that, no updates or achivements.

The 360 games on demand are like their disc counterparts except they are stupidly overpriced and yes they act like disc based.

I don't know, some of them seemed priced the same or lower than my local GameStop. Then I realized one game would take up my entire HD and I moved on.

Thanks for the Twitter heads up on the WWE themed Avattire, Chris. I normally don't go in for that but I felt the WWE title was worth the 160 points I had lying around the account.

P.S. Has anyone from Microsoft coined that term, "Avattire"? I want to sell it to them.

*Hugs my 250 Gig Hard Drive so I don't have to worry about that.

And aww, you didn't get Hornswoggle as your pet? *Kidding*

Im rocking the Rey mask cause its cool.

The games via the UK marketplace are stupidly overpriced.

Example: Smackdown 2008 is £14.99, i can go into my local game store and pick it up for £4 used.

Mass Effect: £19.99 on marketplace, instore: £7.99

I checked out the WWE attire tonight and it's kinda weird how the Rey Mysterio mask kinda matches the Edge clothes.

I got the dreaded "laser scratches" on my current obsession, Transformers: War for Cybertron. Out of desperation, I have half my hard drive dedicated to an install of the game. We'll see if it works.
