Bastion is 50% off today only btw. Along with some other deals that last a while. It's the first of the 12 days of Christmas sale they do. Worth getting if you don't have it.

UFC was the first 25k to "order" the fight, got it for free. Apparently they're going to open up more "orders" for the card, which is awesome. I just wish they'd go ahead and leave it free for all or go ahead and put up the price so people can actually order it.

Is the 4 gig model worth it for $130? That seems to be the Boxing Day price (though I did get a Staples flyer listing it at $99, which I thought was a mistake and apparently is, but I'm still going to try and price match it somewhere), but most reviews seem to say that you need a hard drive to get the full use out of it.

I personally wouldn't get one without a hard drive because I like being able to install a game to it to speed up load times and save wear and tear on the disc drive. But if you don't care about that, and you don't plan to buy downloadable games/large DLC, I'd imagine 4 gigs would be enough just for gave sames and such. Oh and you can use USB flash drives for more space, so I suppose you could still download all the stuff you want.

Does Microsoft sell any hard drives smaller than 250 gigs?

Not if you have the Slim one. The older models have a 120 and 160GB drive for sale. They are pricey as fuck though ($100+)

You can usually get a perfect third party drive on Amazon for $45-50. Works perfectly. The only slightly annoying thing is that you have to pick the flash drive vs. the add-on when you start games.

I got an Xbox 360 for Xmas. It came with Fables III and Halo Reach ( that one as a free download though). I/We also got SDRaw 20111, Tony Hawk Project 8, AAA Lucha, LOTR War In The North. I haven't hooked it up online yet because I haven't the slightest idea how to so I'm waiting for my brother to help me out with that.

If you use a router for everything else just go to settings and then network and it should find yours to click it and do it from there.

The Ethernet cord is the one that looks like a telephone wire. If your modem is close enough to the system you can just plug it in to there. Otherwise, do what bps said.

Or if you have wireless router, you could always go the expensive wireless route or build a wireless bridge.

If it's a 360 made in the last couple years...the wireless is internal and ready to go.

Anyone else using Kinect? I bought one as a Christmas gift from Amazon and of course it ended up getting here two days after Christmas. Weird thing though: I ended up getting two. One came from FedEx this morning and one from UPS this afternoon. Unless they contact me about it I guess I'm keeping #2 for myself.

Kinect is to Microsoft what te 32X was to Sega.

Ok, that's not true, but - and I say this 100% as someone who does not have one and therefore does not follow or pay attention to what's going on outside of the ads for "Kinect Sports Season 2" (what is this, a TV show?) on my Subway drink cups - it seems more effort is going into making Kinect something you can yell voice commands at to control non-gaming apps then something to actually make games for (unless you want to dance or work out, then have at it).

I tried the Hexic arcade game last night and the next thing I knew it was a couple of hours later. Those kind of games are too addictive.

I've found myself having that same problem with that game. I always get in that "one more try" mentality and next thing I know, I've wasted a couple hours.

They need to fix some loading issues with the youtube app. Several times, I've tried accessing videos from accounts I subscribe to, but because the playlist was so big it just showed a blank screen. When I back out of the screen, it just loads forever and shows nothing instead of the previous menu.

Finally got the right cable to hook up the 360 to the internet only to find I don't have enough slots on my modem! I can have the 360/internet or computer/internet but not both at the same time so I have to buy a router. Huzzah.

How can I transfer music from my computer to my 360 using a USB?

I don't feel like having to waste CDs just to update some WWE 12 themes. When I format the USB in the 360, and then try to move the songs from the computer to the USB, it says it's full. (The Xbox data takes up the 4GB according to the computer) When I do it the other way, and format the USB in the computer, and put the themes on it, I can get them to play on the Xbox using the menu, put the option to 'Transfer Content' is no longer there...

I'm assume that its possible. But I can't figure it out.

I don't think you can transfer music to the Xbox in any other way than CD. The USB storage is just for system files (saves, profiles, etc.).
