Unique stuff... https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/exonerate-witches-state-legislatures-controversy/

"Nearly 400 years after their infamous witch trials, New England states have been introducing and passing legislation to exonerate those who were convicted. Last year, through a budget amendment, Massachusetts finally exonerated Elizabeth Johnson Jr., the last person convicted in the Salem witch trials who had not yet had her name cleared. And a bill is currently pending before the New Hampshire legislature to posthumously exonerate Eunice “Goody” Cole, the only Granite Stater ever convicted of witchcraft."

Surprised @King of Summer Kamala didn't start a thread on this sub story a few days ago.

"Titanic trouble for submersible vehicle" or some such.

The image of the missing submersible along with the CEO, who's part of the missing crew, is shown below. The image demonstrates how small it is. It’s only 22 feet by 9.2 feet by 8.3. You have to sit crisscross applesauce with your shoes off.

- It has a carpeted floor instead of seats and barely enough room inside for more than one person at a time to stretch out. There is a “toilet” with a curtain for privacy. - It’s constructed of multiple different materials that all expand and contract differently depending on temperature (subs are usually built using one material for this reason). - Reports have mentioned the handles and railings inside the submersible were purchased at a camping store.

Medical findings

Medical investigations were carried out on the remains of the four divers. The most notable finding was the presence of large amounts of fat in large arteries and veins and in the cardiac chambers, as well as intravascular fat in organs, especially the liver.[3]: 97, 101  This fat was unlikely to be embolic, but must have precipitated from the blood in situ.[3]: 101  The autopsy suggested that rapid bubble formation in the blood denatured the lipoprotein complexes, rendering the lipids insoluble.[3]: 101  The blood of the three divers left intact inside the chambers likely boiled instantly, stopping their circulation.[3]: 101  The fourth diver was dismembered and mutilated by the blast forcing him out through the partially blocked doorway and would have died instantly.[3]: 95, 100–101

Coward, Lucas, and Bergersen were exposed to the effects of explosive decompression and died in the positions indicated by the diagram. Investigation by forensic pathologists determined that Hellevik, being exposed to the highest pressure gradient and in the process of moving to secure the inner door, was forced through the crescent-shaped opening measuring 60 centimetres (24 in) long created by the jammed interior trunk door. With the escaping air and pressure, it included bisection of his thoracoabdominal cavity, which resulted in fragmentation of his body, followed by expulsion of all of the internal organs of his chest and abdomen, except the trachea and a section of small intestine, and of the thoracic spine. These were projected some distance, one section being found 10 metres (30 ft) vertically above the exterior pressure door.[3]: 95

everyone focusing on the billionaire instead of the other people on the sub (including a 19 year old kid) is really sad because it just shows how obsessed we all are with wealth whether it's "ha fuck this guy" or wanting them rescued which I've seen both sides. I'm as anti-billionaire as it gets but its weird seeing people celebrate 5 people potentially dying because one or two of them are rich.

It is wrong to cheer and mock others facing needless death but is almost as wrong to write self righteous Facebook posts about how wrong it is to mock others suffering!

I am expecting the worst but hoping for the best for the crew, including the one whose fault this is, but I will never be able to get over the fact that the submersible was controlled with a $35 consumer Bluetooth video game controller. Specifically a logitech f710, which is the wireless version of the logitech f310, which I have used for PC gaming for over a decade now. So many bad safety oversights/safety who needs that?s on that thing, but that fucking controller is what I'm going to remember forever.

Also, Mike Reiss has been in that thing a couple of times. I'm glad he made it back up.

I saw someone in one of my professional support groups taking the leap of logic that this was a distraction from Hunter Biden's shit. I can't believe the depths people will sink to in order to make things political.
