Those Zelda games are probably my favorite in the series. Also, if you play them with a GBA or higher, there are some bonus features.

3DS shop channel and internet browser delayed until June. Mother fucker! Granted we're already half way through May, but I was hoping for the shop channel to be added soon so I could download some games to tide me over until Ocarina of Time drops next month.

Why wasn't it available at launch? You can't get supermarioland.gb up and running until three months after the system comes out? Why did I buy this thing?

Im on the verge of saying fuck it and picking up a Wii. Black Wii with motion plus, and Mario Kart for $150. I really can't say no.

Aw yeah! Though the one for the DS (PS1?) will always be my favourite version, I'll still download this one. Love me some Chrono Trigger in any form it takes!

I consider the DS version to be the "definitive" version due to the fact that you get the cinemas from the PSX version, a great new control scheme, and zero load times. I definitely wouldn't mind getting it for VC.

The DS version is mana from heaven. Not sure if I'll get it on VC since I already have four versions of it (SNES, DS, PS1, Japanese PS1), but I'll probably do it at some point. Doubt I'll play it enough to get everyone to level ** with all stats that you can raise at ** like I have all the other versions, but then again I didn't think I'd do it on the DS. God I love that game.

Now they need to get Chrono Cross on the PSN.

(Insert joke about how they need to get everything else on the PSN too!)

The bonus dungeons were surprisingly not awful too. I mean they weren't great, but I expected much worse. Plus they found places to work in the two songs from the Japanese soundtrack that weren't in the game, which I thought was pretty cool too.

All of them except the one on the DS version after you fight the dream devourer. The amount of endings I think was part of what made the game so popular back in the day. Had to keep playing to try and see what other ending you might find.

I think it was one of the first games, along with FFIII(6), that I remember experiencing alt-endings with.

Yeah, kinda. The changes to the ending were really only cosmetic (the story outcome was always the same) for the little cutscenes as you're escaping the tower. Depending on who you recruited and when. I think that was the first time I'd ever experienced anything like that (that I can recall) with a videogame.

EDIT: I found a list on Gamefaqs of the changes..

The changes to the ending are as follows, all entirely reliant on who you recruit and nothing else:

-If you don't recruit Terra, in the middle of the conversation with Kefka, the game will shift to Mobliz and show Terra run out of the house, transform and fly off after saying "They're calling me!" or some such. Kefka will also get an extra line of something like "Well, if you're so eager to die, I'll be happy to obliige!" right before the fight (That scene occurs right after the line "Its over, KEfka" I believe.)

-After Kefka dies, if Terra wasn't recruited, she'll appear at the top of the tower, someone will yell "Terra! Welcome back!" She'll then say "Follow me" then fall down like she normally does right before the first Esper dies.

-In the Montage any character you didn't recruit will have their portrait over their place of significance (so Cyan would get Doma, for example), in place of their scene. Exceptions are:

If you don't recruit Sabin, Edgar's scene, which he shares with Sabin, is altered such that Edgar/Celes/Setzer all catch the bean, and Edgar makes a crack about how Sabin would be useful as the 3 struggle to deal with it. He then makes a "Ladies first" comment.

If you don't recruit Locke, Celes' scene, which she shares with Locke, will be altered such that Setzer rescues her instead, and makes a crack about how she promised to be his wife (its said in a teasing, playful manner, as though to mock her for going after something useless.) Celes will then remark how the Bandana was her good luck charm and how her life changed for the better since she found it, then as everyone runs off, she says "Locke, I hope you're alright" or something to that effect

If you recruit Relm but *NOT* Strago, Relm's scene is altered that she's struggling with the Conveyor belt, she sees Celes/Edgar/Setzer jump by and makes wise cracks to each like "I won't be done in by an older woman!" eventually, she just gives in and goes "That's it, portraits for all of you!" and the 3 rush back to aid her.

Regardless of if you recruit Terra or not, her ending remains unchanged, if its not obvious by how she randomly appears earlier in the sequence. IOWs, the same Maduin scene will occur.

Everything after the Montages is unchanged, barring the obvious "Characters you didn't recruit (Terra excluded, who always appears) won't appear on the Airship."

I had my 3DS with me with the streetpass wifi turned on all weekend, through two airports, two flights, a hotel, a zillion bus and light rail rides, lots of walking in a crowded downtown, and two baseball games, and I get zero street pass hits. I come back to Anchorage and get three hits walking through the mall. Boo on you Seattle.

The 3DS e-shop channel launches on Monday. The games that will be available at launch are:
America:

Excitebike (3D Classics)

Pokédex 3D (“3DSWare”)

Super Mario Land (Virtual Console)

Radar Mission (Virtual Console)

Alleyway (Virtual Console)
You Europeans will get Tennis instead of Radar Mission, the rest is the same. (And I believe the shop launches Tuesday in Europe.)
Pokedex 3D is free. Excite Bike 3D will be free until early July. I was hoping for Link's Awakening at launch but Super Mario Land will tide me over I suppose.

Also, DSiWare purchases will be transferable to a 3DS with the following exceptions (due to licensing issues):
Art Academy First Semester
Art Academy Second Semester
Asphalt IV
Crash-Course Domo
Earthworm Jim
Flipnote Studio
Hard-Hat Domo
Let’s Golf
Nintendo DSi Browser
Oregon Trail
Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon
Pro-Putt Domo
Real Soccer 2009
Real Soccer 2010
Rock-n-Roll Domo
SUDOKU MASTER
SUDOKU SENSEI
Sudoku Student
White-Water Domo

Luckily for me I didn't purchase any on that list, though I probably would have gotten Earthworm Jim if I had realized it was available. I'm fairly certain that all the DSiWare games will be available for purchase on the 3ds shop channel once it launches, with the exception of the ones listed above.

Bring on Monday.

Fun little tidbit on the 3DS eShop: You can have up to $200 in your wallet at any one time, and can only spend $1000 total in a month. This is meant as a security measure, but I can't wait to hear people bitch about this one.

Why in gods name would you spend $1,000 in a month on the shop?

I remember seeing people online talking about buying every game that came out on the virtual console every week. Freaks, man.

The firmware update for the 3DS that includes the shop introduces a glitch to Ridge Racer that freezes the game if you hit B while trying to start a single player race or Grand Prix. An update to fix THAT will come up in mid-June.
