Is that 3arc Unlock code for the zombie maps good on all editions or just the "Hardened" version of the game? I put the code in and it said cheat enabled, but when I went to the zombie list, it remained the same three options.

A headset is a must for the zombie game, either that or make sure you have a friend who has unlimited mins on their phone and call their cell and put them on speaker.

The other maps are only for hardened... But I do believe they will be dlc for us eventually.. Paid, of course.

They really need to do a better job making the teams fair when you play team deathmatch. Last night, I was playing and there were about 8 participants. Four guys were 40+, two were 20+, and I and this other guy were level 17 and 8, respectively. So what does the system do? It puts ALL of the 40+ guys on one team and the rest of us on another and we practically got destroyed. The other guys had their tons of perks + better guns and the rest of us were struggling to keep up. It would've been more fun if they'd spaced that out a little better.

Besides that, it was still fun to play Nuketown as a team deathmatch. Tight space + the two houses and such = pretty good times.

Fuck this game. I spend half an hour waiting to find a game to join every time I do multiplayer, which is really the only reason I buy COD games, and the gameplays so inconsistent that it's just not worth it. Oh, and DOGS. I HATE DOGS! I'm done, and I'm trading in this POS this week.

Yeah, I hate dogs. What you need to do is when you hear they are on the loose, get yourself into a room, put a claymore by the only entrance to said room, and try to snipe the dogs are they are running in the open. Worst case, they get to you but blow themselves up on the claymore. Then you get XP points from that.

I'm not bothering with it anymore. Last night, after waiting half an hour trying to connect to a game, I ended up playing the same damn map FOUR TIMES in a row. I haven't been this disappointed in a game in years.

I have to admit, I have not been playing online as much as I did with Modern Warfare Reflex...lack of time is a factor, but lack of interest is part of it as well. Tired of the usual shenanigans that come with CoD online play: hackers, spammers, shit talkers, etc. etc. etc.

How far has everyone got on the zombie game thus far? I made it to level 22 last night on a team with two friends and a random guy that was very good.

I looked at the leaderboards and saw that some people have made it to a level 75....wow wtf? Considering how crazy it gets by the early 20's, I cannot imagine ever being good enough to get to a level 75...

I still don't quite understand zombie mode. I never know when I need to buy guns and all that stuff. Also, not having a headset makes it tough to communicate with some of the people about strategy. It seems that some people I play with just want to unlock things all at once and then spread themselves too thin.

My friends and I tend to keep it fairly small depending on the size of the group in order to limit the entry points. Then, only we've built up a fair amount of points, we open up the other areas in order to (usually) get some more powerful weapons. Your mileage may vary.

Yeah first and foremost, communication is the key to the zombie game. It is kind of pointless to have four random people just doing their own thing.

Secondly, don't open doors until you have enough points to go turn on the power so you will always know where the mystery weapon box is. Getting the higher powered weapons is key if you want to make it past about 8 or so rounds.

Once you are up to level 12 or so...it is good to always have the teleporter on and charged and ready to go, just in case things get to hairy.

Also, don't forget you have three grenades and you get an automatic refill on them at the beginning of each round. Make sure someone saves at least one grenade as the round is winding down, so you can create a crawler zombie or two....basically throw the grenade at the zombie's legs and it will blow it up in half, with the torso/arms/head crawling around slowly. This way the round technically doesn't end until that crawler is killed, but it moves so dirt slow it is not a threat, and you can then run around the entire map, getting points by boarding up all the doors, and then powering up your weapons/max ammo if need be.

Other then that, just practice, and never be afraid to run. Never feel you have to take a stand in a certain spot.

When did MW2 become completely unplayable online from hackers? Last time I played steadily was probably October, and now probably 9/10 games I enter have some kind of hack.

Are you on PS3? It was when 3.55 got hacked.

So I finally got CoD4: Modern Warfare and I think I'm pretty much hosed. I'm not surprised that online is overrun with high level guys, but it still means the learning curve is very steep. I'm lucky if I get one or two kills a session. What's even worse is that even if I can get a private match going, I don't get XP for it.

All I want is a shotgun I don't hate. Which MIGHT unlock in 21 levels. I'd say kill me now, but [_CoD_dog_CoD_]frtzkikkr has that covered

I have friends who recently bought 360's, so we're picking up older (cheaper) multiplayer games so it won't cost a fortune to build a MP library.

I would have picked up Black Ops, but I reckon, if a game that's three years old has this many followers, I can't imagine the number of elite players ready to hand me my ass in a brand new platinum-selling game.

I think the solution is to hold out for smaller franchises. I was halfway decent at Transformers: War for Cybertron for a stretch. Here's hoping Homefront has a small following.

For the next game they really should adopt a Starcraft like "league" system where you go up in rank the better your stats get and you get matched up with people of similar skill. It keeps casual players from getting their asses handed to them unfairly due to shitty matchmaking and gives those 15 year olds that play 6 hours a day similar 15 year olds to play with and call each other homosexual.

And there should be a separate mode for all the people with pot references in their Gamertags. Preferably one that locks up and erases their hard drives.

Yeah, the match making is the biggest bug that needs to be worked out. Also, I'd prefer if they got rid of kill-streaks together....or at least the over powered ones like Chopper Gunner. It kills any chance of a come back after a team takes a big lead.

Went back to Black Ops over the last few days, and most of my enjoyment of the game seems to get washed away by the sheer difficulty. I am trying to complete the single player campaign on Veteran like I did with MW2's campaign. The constant clown cars and choke points take this from being difficult, but still fun, to stupidly infuriating. Then when you decide to go online, there is too much separation between the top guys and everyone else. It is not my idea of fun to get slaughtered within seconds every time I spawn. Sure, I can usually get on a bit of a roll to maintain a 0.6 kill/death ratio, but after a while it just isn't as fun as it should be.

Depending on the reviews for Homefront, I made trade Black Ops in for that or Killzone 3.

I'm done with it, aside from playing Zombies with friends here and there. I seem to love these games when they first come out, but quickly get bored. This is the last time I fall into that.

For some reason I haven't played a great deal of the Zombie modes, so I may sink a few more hours into them before I finally get rid of the game. Some of the new multiplayer maps looks pretty sweet, but I'm not paying $15 for 5 maps.

I just played two back-to-back CoD4 matches (separate lobbies) with a super-fast sprint mod. Apparently it's been around for as long as the game, but I've never encountered it until now.

So for those that are still in the Black Ops mood, specifically the Zombie mode....this is included in the next map pack!

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Escalation: Official Call of the Dead Trailer

I'm pretty sure it will work like the Dead President characters worked in the level "Five" randomly generated when the game starts. However the main difference here is that George Romero plays a zombie boss-type character. Also it looks like there is a little more to this level than the previous zombie level.

I am so ready to spend $15

Yeah I just watched a video. It's four maps in the pack and the character models are so great that playing as Buffy, Machete, Englund and Rooker is going to be ridiculous fun.

I am now convinced that Englund would be perfect to play Bill should there ever be a L4D movie based on the first game.

So Call of the Dead is amazing - who else is still playing this? I love that it's drastically different from the other zombies maps.. especially with zombie overlord George Romero roaming around after you the entire time.

There is a 3rd set of DLC coming at the end of the month for 360, and probably a few weeks later for PSN:
