I played the career mode for 3 hours tonight and turned it off to watch a movie and when I went to play more it said it did not find any saved games on my hard drive. It completely fucking wiped out everything I had done earlier.......... what the fuck?!?!

That's really weird. Did you turn autosave off? It's on by default, and saves after every sparring session, promotional appearance, or fight.

He probably figured it was done saving after 15 minutes. Nope, sorry; it takes about 22 minutes to save/load everything from career.

Hmm... I haven't seen those errors, and I usually do notice stuff like that. And no, you can't switch styles without restarting.

Sooooo.. I just played career mode for 10 hours straight... over 12 hours total for the day. I'm in the last year of my contract and Dana says he won't re-up it cause the board won't let me fight any more.

Yeah, your career ends near the end of your 7th year- 2016. I had my last fight in April of that year when I did my career as myself at middleweight. Haven't quite gotten there with my giant gay Swedish black man yet.

So in career mode my guy is pretty much a stand up fighter and just does the whole slug fest thing and it seems to be working as I've won a fair share of matches knocking guys out. The one guy who has continually stopped me, Houston Alexander. I'd take him to the ground but my ground game sucks so that won't be much help. I'm thinking I'm just going to duck the guy from now on.

Im on my second career now as a light heavyweight, currently at 13-0 as champ. Choosing wrestling has made things very difficult until i reach lvl 2. i concentrated on lvling up my kickboxing which was foolish.

Bought this when it came out and didn't play it much because I was in the middle of another game.

Got around to it now... won my first championship tonight over Hermes Franca with a spinning back fist into a head kick, which was awesome.

First title defense against Joe Stevenson, knocked him out cold with a knee when he shot in for a takedown.

I love this game.

I've had a lot of fun with this game offline, but every time I play online It seems to be very laggy. I've played 5 games online, and it every person I played it was lagging really bad. Anyone else have the same problem?

I havnt had too much lag which is nice, im actually able to win some matchups in this game.

So I've been playing this game for about a week now, and I do fine offline, but online I keep getting my ass handed to me. Once I'm on the ground I get my ass handed to me. My mat skills suck, so I guess I'm looking for some tips on how to better defend myself when I get taken down. Any tips?

Have you gone through the tutorial? You can defend takedowns by button mashing or, if you time it right, press down on the right stick to get the guy into a sprawl grapple.

Yeah I can defend the takedown attempts pretty good. It's when I'm on my back that I get messed up with hammerfists or just being out wrestled.

I haven't mastered the reversals (ask Wario Lemeiux for tips there) but holding the right stick in the opposite direction of the opponent will block transition attempts. A 3/4 circle turn will take you to standing, or at the very least will force the opponent back one step (I.E. from half guard back to open guard) if they don't block it. There's also "hold down LB and go straight up, then half circle right" which will revese the mount and will place you in the opponent's guard with them on defense, though that might be bad for BJJ guys who frequently use the rubber guard.

Ive found alot of the higher ranked online guys seem to love submissions, so go the BRAWK LESNAR route and just be careful when you are planning your fists of fury and you might get a flash KO.

I think my record is 6-3.. but thats because i can never find people to play.

I'm 2-1, but I've played probably 50 player matches. That's still a lot less than many people. I was beaten repeatedly tonight- first in a tournament for 411mania.com (after being undefeated in the previous tournament fights, all 2 out of 3) and then by Wario Lemieux.

I did get to debut (online, that is) my heavyweight- a big, black, blonde gay man from Sweden in tiny little shorts named Gail Pennyfeather.
