Given the complexity of SD vs. RAW's story mode (and the new GM mode), it'd probably be very difficult to remove ANYONE. The last time WWE mucked with a story mode to remove a wrestler, we got Steven Richards acting as Big Show.

I know with Benoit it was a huge hassle getting him removed and it delayed the game. I know that 2008 game had some errors, which may have been in part with the "remove Benoit" scrambling.

I always like seeing new guys on the roster, but I don't understand Zeke Jackson being in the game if Ryder isn't. Ryder has been doing the ECW solo gig longer than Jackson. Granted Zeke was more important on Smackdown before, but if Zack Ryder is not downloadable content, I will be greatly disappointed.

Of course they're pointless, but removing them makes Beth/Mickie/Natalya pointless to have in because nobody who would've bothered with Diva matches would bother if they only had 2 or 3 options.

Probably.

From it reads you can change their entire attire, so I wouldn't see why not (there's even an achievement for it), plus it would fit into the whole 'create your own story' thing. You'd be able to make factions and stuff (expect a lot of DX/NWO shirts) and change who's in them in the editor for the story creator.

So it'd be silly if you couldn't be a mask back on Kane. Don't think you'll be able to remove Rey Mysterio's mask though.

It's my understanding that you can't add or remove anything. You can only change the colors of what someone is already wearing.

Adding and removing shouldn't be such a big deal. These character models aren't THAT detailed.. I mean look at MGS4, you can change all sorts of shit in that. It's 2009, developers, get with the program!!

The only people to ever get fully customizable grapplers was AKI and that was back 10+ years ago!

It was my theory that, because of the high emphasis on graphics, wrestler scanning, realistic models (at least until this year), etc., Yukes was hesitant to include costume edits because it'd be too difficult and time consuming to do so. Basically the advancements there also limited more and more what they could do. Whereas No Mercy is cartoony and has less polygons, or MGS may have different approaches in design, it allows them do with customization what Yukes can't.

Bollocks! The technology is there, MGS is just one example. This is probably just Vince & Co. retaining some hold on how the fans view their product. No gimmick changes for you, because dressing up Kane as Fake Diesel in a videogame will really hurt their product on TV & all that, didn't you know??

Eh I just say Yukes is lazy and doesn't want to take the time to make it so you can changes wrestlers attires. I mean fuck, Yukes doesn't even put proper wrestling masks in their games. I hate that we have to pick a mask hood and put facepaint or a design on the mask instead of just having actual designed masks that we could change if we wanted to.

My theory is that the WWE or Yukes doesn't want the user to be able to change both the attire and move set of the wrestlers. You could get rid of everyone you don't use.
