So, are we calling John Wick 4 a "bust" because it's "only" made $350 million worldwide, or do we reserve the "bust" label for the franchises that the fuckboys don't like?
Nah cause the Wick movies aren’t as expensive as capeshit.
Also it’s the most successful John Wick movie so how is it a failure? How many R Rated movies are there making $350 million?
its budgets was 100 million and it's the highest grossing movie of the franchise and 5th highest grossing of the year. For an R movie that's really great. So, are we calling John Wick 4 a "bust" because it's "only" made $350 million worldwide, or do we reserve the "bust" label for the franchises that the fuckboys don't like?
Movie budgets (and to a lesser extent, marketing costs) matter precisely for this reason. So, are we calling John Wick 4 a "bust" because it's "only" made $350 million worldwide, or do we reserve the "bust" label for the franchises that the fuckboys don't like?
What movies/franchises are you talking about.Such labels still seem to be reserved for the franchises that a particular type of person wants to see fail.
capeshit.

Hopefully they don't leave out his Meineke commercials.George Foreman’s life story is super interesting but I don’t think everyone necessarily knows his life story is super interesting beyond “LOL he won a World Title when he was old and came up with a lean meat grilling machine even though he is fat.”
Hopefully they don't leave out his Oscar Meyer commercials.
Hopefully they don't leave out his Inventhelp commercials.
I ended up seeing it Saturday in Chicago and its fuckin balls to the wall in your face excellence. Much more gorier than expected, for sure. But every kill and every fucked up moment was worth it. It has moments that feel like a John Wick meets Mad Max meets Inglorious Bastards, but on the other hand, this is a uniquely excellent film that stands on its' own for sure. While the story is pretty basic, there's lots of paying off moments all across the board.Curious how Sisu does... the trailer made it look great but I haven't heard much from a word of mouth perspective.

This seems like a candidate for the Bad Movies Thread but appears to be a much bigger hit with the type of rom-com audience that goes into it with certain expectations (94% Audience score on RT). IMDB users have given it a 6.1 so it just seems like critics who want/expect something more than what the film intends to give them vs. the audience kind of just getting what they want out of it and not wanting (or needing) more than that.
